Whatever happened to Dr. Daniel Neides, a year after he was forced to leave the Cleveland Clinic because of his antivaccine rant?

A year ago, a prominent Cleveland Clinic “integrative medicine” doctor named Dr. Daniel Neides published an antivaccine screed. At the time, he was the Acting Medical Director of the Tanya I. Edwards Center for Integrative Medicine, Vice Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Cleveland Clinic Wellness, as well as the Associate Director of Clinical Education for The Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM), where he oversaw all clinical activities during years three through five of the medical school. As a result of article, he was dismissed from all his leadership positions. What’s happened to him since then, now that it’s been a year? Surprise! Surprise! He’s let his antivaccine freak flag fly high.

About a year ago, there was an uproar in the medical and skeptical blogosphere (and even in the mainstream media) to a blog post by Daniel Neides, Daniel Neides, MD, MBA, who was at the time Acting Medical Director of the Tanya I. What so horrified and appalled me was Dr. Neide’s post, Make 2017 the year to avoid toxins (good luck) and master your domain, published on the website of a local Cleveland newspaper, was basically an antivaccine rant. Now, a year later, the exact details aren’t important. Suffice to say that Dr. Neide’s post indicated that he clearly believes that vaccine probably cause autism and are loaded with evil “toxins” that cause all sorts of health problems. Ultimately, Dr. Neides was forced out of his leadership positions, and I was wondering recently what happened to him.

I found out, but before I let you know what Dr. Neides is up to now let me recap what happened a year ago. Before my recap, though, I’ll let loose a most unsurprising spoiler: Let’s just say that Dr. Neides has dropped even the pretense of not being antivaccine. For instance, as you will soon see, he recently gave a speech to Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom, an antivaccine group hiding behind the “health freedom” and “informed consent” fallacies beloved by advocates of quackery and antivaccine pseudoscience.

The reaction to Dr. Neides’ post a year ago was swift and harsh on Science-Based Medicine, Skeptical Raptor, and Tara Haelle’s blog, while ZDoggMD posted an epic rant to Facebook. At the time, I couldn’t help but note that Dr. Neides was not just any doctor at the Cleveland Clinic. He was in a leadership position, having been faculty there for quite a few years before his moment of infamy. He had been running the Clinic’s wellness center and was acting director of the integrative medicine program there. In “integrative medicine” parlance, Dr. Neides was about as mainstream and “evidence-based” as “integrative medicine” gets. Yet he still managed to lay down an epic antivaccine rant. In fact, even though the many antivaccine tropes he laid down were well covered in the blog posts linked to above, I can’t help but quote a sample, just in case you don’t believe me when I tell you how bad his post was:

Slight detour. Why do I mention autism now twice in this article. Because we have to wake up out of our trance and stop following bad advice. Does the vaccine burden – as has been debated for years – cause autism? I don’t know and will not debate that here. What I will stand up and scream is that newborns without intact immune systems and detoxification systems are being over-burdened with PRESERVATIVES AND ADJUVANTS IN THE VACCINES.

The adjuvants, like aluminum – used to stimulate the immune system to create antibodies – can be incredibly harmful to the developing nervous system. Some of the vaccines have helped reduce the incidence of childhood communicable diseases, like meningitis and pneumonia. That is great news. But not at the expense of neurologic diseases like autism and ADHD increasing at alarming rates.

That’s about as antivaccine as it gets, an example of the classic “toxins gambit,” complete with the false equivalence beloved of antivaxers: “Yes, I concede that vaccines do good, but look at the horrible price! Autism! The horror. The horror…” Never mind that the “horrible price” exists only in the imaginations of antivaxers.

My point, of course, is that Dr. Neides’ antivaccine rant is the sort of thing that happens when you let other quackery and pseudoscience take hold at an institution. Dr. Neides had embraced pseudoscience in his practice, particularly the idea that unnamed “toxins” cause disease and that “detoxification” is necessary to restore and maintain health. Therefore, it should not be surprising that the sort of “thinking” (if you can call Dr. Neides’ nonsense thinking) that leads an institution to embrace naturopathy, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, reiki, functional medicine, and nearly all manner of unproven, disproven, and mystical pseudoscience, as the Cleveland Clinic has embraced over the last 20 years can also lead to antivaccine views. After all, once you think that the body needs a lot of help to remove unnamed “toxins” and thus “detoxify,” then antivaccine pseudoscience is must a short hop away, and unfortunately Dr. Neides made that hop.

The administration of the Cleveland Clinic, not surprisingly, was not pleased at the unfavorable attention that Dr. Neides had brought upon it. His post made national news, resulting in harsh and well-deserved criticism that brought a tsunami of bad publicity bearing down the institution. A harsh light was shone on the Clinic’s increasing embrace of pseudoscience. For instance, it was noted that the Cleveland Clinic sold The One Quackery To Rule Them All (homeopathy) from its website. Even as Dr. Toby Cosgrove, longtime CEO of the Cleveland Clinic, tried to emphasize that his institution was pro-vaccine and used only evidence-based treatments, he couldn’t resist doubling down on the Clinic’s commitment to “wellness,” which was the portal through which all the quackery and pseudoscience had entered. Indeed, I couldn’t help but point out that Dr. Cosgrove’s hiring of Dr. Mark Hyman to establish a “functional medicine” clinic put the lie to his oh-so-pious denial that there was no antivaccine sentiment at the institution he ran, reminding my readers that at the time of his hiring in 2014 Dr. Hyman had very recently co-authored a book with antivaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. entitled Thimerosal: Let the Science Speak: Mercury Toxicity in Vaccines and the Political, Regulatory, and Media Failures That Continue to Threaten Public Health. Not surprisingly, the book demonized the thimerosal preservative that some antivaxers point to as the cause of the “autism epidemic.” Ten days before his hiring by the Cleveland Clinic was announced, Mark Hyman even appeared on The Dr. Oz Show to promote the book. There’s no way Dr. Cosgrove didn’t know about that. Still, Dr. Neides had to go, and go he did. Sadly, despite that, the embrace of quackery has been “wildly successful” at the Cleveland Clinic.

So what’s happened to Dr. Neides?

I found his new practice website the other day, Inspire Wellness, which he co-founded with Dr. Jessica Hutchins. I thought I’d start with her because Dr. Neides’ choice of her as his partner in this practice definitely puts the lie to his denial that he was antivaccine:

Jessica’s story is an incredible one. She grew up in Cleveland, received her MD from CWRU and trained as an OBGYN at University Hospitals. Her trajectory was forever changed when her oldest son, Josh, was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in 2004 at the age of three. Demanding to uncover the answers to the cause and treatment of ASD, Jessica began her educational journey in the field of Functional Medicine. This area of medicine focuses on reversing chronic disease by understanding the complexity of the body at an energetic and cellular level. Through those efforts, Josh recovered no longer has an ASD diagnosis. Although Josh was the catalyst for this passion of disease reversal, she also draws much inspiration from her children Emily, Michael, Tori, and Gabe to make their world a safer place.

She moved back to Cleveland in 2015 from Northern California where for the first time she was able to practice functional medicine 100% of the time (of course missing those middle of the night deliveries)! In 2016, she became an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner, and is one of a handful of doctors in the world who are both board certified in OBGYN and certified in Functional Medicine.

Translation: Dr. Hutchins is an autism biomed quack and almost certainly blames vaccines for her child’s autism. I can’t help but note that, in his infamous post that lost him his job, Dr. Neides actually cited an article by Dr. Hutchins from 2015 published in U.S. News & World Report. An excerpt:

Given the lack of any nutritional value and lack of true safety data for these chemicals, what is the harm in demanding better quality nourishment for our kids? We cannot assume that if our government allows these chemicals to be put in our “foods” that they must be safe. When we vote with our dollars by choosing to buy products that are sustainably produced and chemical free, we actively shape the market place. Help change the way our kids nourish their precious bodies, starting with yourself as an example. Every one of us is so unique and biochemically different, sometimes the best research data to listen to is the testimonial of your own child’s health. For more info on eating toxin-free food and pushing food manufacturers to stop using these ingredients, check out foodbabe.com.

“Chemical-free” food? What does that even mean? Vacuum? Every food is made up of chemicals! In any case, the fact that she referred to Vani Hari, a.k.a. The Food Babe, as a good source of information on anything related to food tells you all you need to know about her. Hari is, after all, the one who said that there “is just no acceptable level of any chemical to ingest, ever” and regularly lays down the most pseudoscientific and ignorance-inspired misinformation about “chemicals” in food imaginable. It’s not for nothing that I’ve said that Vani Hari (“The Food Babe”) is to food what Jenny McCarthy is to vaccines.

Actually, Dr. Hutchins is clearly antivaccine as well. I found some testimony attributed to her regarding Ohio House Bill 193, which, if passed, would prohibit penalties for employees of hospitals and health care systems who refuse the influenza vaccine. In it, Dr. Hutchins claims she received no training in medical school on vaccine safety research and recounts some antivaccine greatest hits.

None of this should be surprising, given that Dr. Hutchins is also a functional medicine practitioner. I’ve described many times why functional medicine is utter quackery. It’s the worst form of “make it up as you go along” medicine that combines the worst aspects of conventional medicine (massive overtesting) with copious quackery, particularly of the “detoxification” variety.

But what about Dr. Neides? Well, he is Dr. Hutchin’s partner now. More importantly, his and Dr. Hutchins’ practice offers a wide variety of quackery, ranging from functional medicine (of course!) to the quackery of an infrared sauna, to intravenous nutrition, which is touted for “heavy metal and chemical toxicity,” migraines, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other conditions. The practice even offers something Drs. Hutchins and Neides call the Inspire Wellness Personalized Membership. It’s basically a concierge service, although neither doctor has admitting privileges at any hospital. Neither take Medicare, Medicaid, or any other form of health insurance, the reason being how little of what the practice does is reimbursed by insurance.

So, yes, Dr. Neides is a quack, and he’s definitely let his antivaccine freak flag fly high since leaving the Cleveland Clinic. Don’t believe me? Check out this video posted to Facebook two days ago of him giving a talk to the Ohio Advocates for Medical Freedom. It’s a group that is clearly also antivaccine, with its website chock full of antivaccine misinformation, such as this page attempting to “debunk” the well-established science failing to find a link between vaccines and autism and another page of antivaccine fear mongering. I won’t go into detail debunking the nonsense because of length considerations and because I’ve done it so many times before, but OAMF should not rest easy. If any of their members challenges me to demonstrate the group is antivaccine, my response to hin would be, “Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it.”

Here’s the video:

The beginning of the tape shows Dr. Neides going on about how at age 51 he’s not the same person he was at 31 or even two years ago. (Neither am I, but that’s besides the point.) After that, he launchea into a discussion of “that article” (i.e., the article he wrote a year ago that got him booted from the Cleveland Clinic) and attempts (unsuccessfully) to joke about how he had thought before he wrote it in December 2016 that very few people read his column. He discusses how in his column he had taken on the food industry, the chemical industry, and a bunch of other industries without any reaction from his employer, but then he took on vaccine industry…

Yeah, it’s the “vaccines are a sacred cow” gambit.

Throughout the talk, Dr. Neides tears up as easily as former Speaker of the House John Boehner. He tears up as he described how on January 13, 2017, he was relieved of his position as director of the Cleveland Clinic’s wellness institute after having been a loyal “soldier” for 20 years, lamenting that, although he could still practice medicine there as faculty, his career at the Clinic was effectively over, his leadership and administrative positions gone.

It was at this point that I marveled. Before his firing, Dr. Neides had worked for the Cleveland Clinic for over 20 years, despite his embrace of quackery and pseudoscience! That tells me a lot about the Cleveland Clinic. I also learned from Dr. Neides’ talk that in September the Clinic had dissolved his clinical area, in essence letting him know that its wellness institute would close at the end of 2016, meaning that he would have to find another practice. (Too bad the functional medicine institute and traditional Chinese medicine clinics appear to be still going strong.)

It isn’t very deep into the talk that Dr. Neides goes full bore antivax. For example, he, like Dr. Hutchins, claims there is “no education” about vaccine ingredients or the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. Of course, given his antivax proclivities, I’m guessing that what Dr. Neides is really objecting to is that medical school and residency don’t teach antivaccine pseudoscience about “toxins” and “vaccine injuries” that aren’t. He rattles off tropes about vaccine injury claims, claims of “conflicts of interest” among pro-vaccine advocates, complaints about patients being dismissed from practices because of refusing to vaccinate. He’s particularly upset about employers “forcing” employees to receive the flu vaccine, and even buys into the common antivaccine claim that there is no “informed consent,” tearing up yet again as he confesses that he was once “one of those doctors” who didn’t give adequate informed consent about vaccines. Indeed, my Boehner remark might have been too mild. In fact, Dr. Neides tears up a lot during this talk in a most maudlin fashion, even going so far as to tell his audience not to feel sorry for him. (Don’t worry. I won’t. I’m sure Dr. Neides will profit mightily from his new “integrative” practice.)

What Dr. Neides is really referring to, from my perspective, is what I like to refer to “misinformed consent,” where risks of vaccines are massively overstated and benefits massively understated. He even brings up the “placebo gambit” regarding vaccine studies. And, yes, he buys into blaming the “autism epidemic” on vaccines and basically implies not-so-subtly that vaccines might be responsible for an “epidemic” of chronic disease.

He also goes where all too many antivaccine activists go as well: Nazi analogies. Yes, he invoked the Nuremberg Code and Geneva Convention. Why he brought up the Geneva convention, I have no idea. The Geneva Conventions have very little to do with informed consent or medical experimentation. Rather, they are international agreements that define the basic rights of wartime prisoners, establish protections for the wounded and sick, and establish protections for civilians in war zones. Yet this doesn’t stop Dr. Neides from asking, “Why are we not protected under the Geneva Convention?” Actually, the Geneva Conventions do encompass medical experiments. Indeed, it is considered a grave breech of the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions to subject prisoners or civilians to willful killing, torture or inhumane treatment, including biological experiments. Still, Dr. Neides seems to be conflating the Geneva Conventions with the Nuremberg Code, which was delivered in 1947 as part of the verdict against Nazi doctors who had conducted horrific medical experiments on Jews and other prisoners and remains one of the foundations of medical ethics with respect to human subjects research. Some of the ten points of the code include the requirement for informed consent, the requirement that there be strong preclinical data (in vitro and animal experiments) to support the hypothesis being tested, that physical and mental suffering must be avoided or minimized, and several other principles that we accept today. So, yes, involuntary biomedical experiments are against the Geneva Conventions, but the Geneva Conventions are not primarily about forcing people to undergo human experimentation. The Nuremberg Code is.

I do have to give Dr. Neides credit, though. He can really bring the stupid in the form of ridiculous “slippery slope” arguments, asking:

  • “Are women going to be forced to undergo mammograms or Pap smears in order to keep their jobs?”
  • “Are men going to be dismissed from medical practices because the refuse a digital rectal exam or PSA for prostate cancer screening or colonoscopy at age 50 for colon cancer screening?”

Exercise for the reader: How are these interventions not like vaccines?

Again, let us not forget that Dr. Neides was employed by the Cleveland Clinic for over 20 years. He rose through the ranks to a leadership position. He was in charge of teaching medical students. He ran its wellness institute. He was popular and trusted. If he hadn’t let his freak flag fly with respect to his antivaccine views a year ago and been unfortunate enough to have drawn national attention to it, he would almost certainly still hold all the positions of influence in the Cleveland Clinic organization that he held a year ago and still be administering woo to patients under the Cleveland Clinic brand.

The Cleveland Clinic administration wants to convince you that Dr. Neides is an anomaly in its institution, but I fear that he is not. Once an institution embraces pseudoscience, whether because of philosophy or as a marketing strategy to attract patients with more money than critical thinking skills, it’s much harder than the administration thinks to keep out other forms of pseudoscience, including antivaccine views. I’d be willing to bet that there are other antivaxers at the Clinic, ones who are smarter than Dr. Neides and don’t announce their antivaccine views to the world.

So tired of responding to these same lies. Amazed you can continue to lead in this Orac.

To which particular lies do you refer? How do you know they are lies and why should we agree with you?

Julian – thanks. I had an moment of poor reading comprehension.

Science Mom – I haven’t been hijacked to the best of my knowledge. But I’ll check the mirror.

I was indeed supporting Orac’s efforts in the face of repeated idiocy by the pro disease movement. Sorry that Fendelsworth seems to still be at the account hijack game.

I am a trustee and board member of the Foundation for the Advancement in Cancer Therapies…(www.rethinkingcancer.org) Our mandate is helping people to prevent illness and recover from it. We have found that many vaccines, including the flu shot, contain extremely harmful ingredients…mercury and aluminum in high concentrations…potent neurotoxins, and formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. Nearly all vaccines contain dangerous….possibly cancer-causing contaminants from the animal matter that is used make them. We are not against safe and effective vaccines. But we believe adequate testing has not been done, particularly of the synergistic effects of many vaccines taken within a short period of time, and taken too early in life. We support Dr. Neides. We wish there were more ethical decent real doctors like him.

…mercury and aluminum in high concentrations…potent neurotoxins, and formaldehyde, a known carcinogen.

1) The concentrations are low.
2) The mercury and aluminium are not elemental but in compounds.
3) There is more aluminium in a single banana than in the entire vaccination schedule.
4) There is more formaldehyde in one apple than in the entire vaccine schedule.
In short, this is just the toxins/chemicals gambit.

But we believe adequate testing has not been done…

What would be “adequate testing”?

…particularly of the synergistic effects of many vaccines taken within a short period of time, and taken too early in life.

“Too many too soon”. investigated and disproved.
You are just another antivaxxer hiding behind the “pro safe vaccines” claim while spouting P.R.A.T.T.s that many of the regular commenters here have each refuted multiple times.

“We have found that many vaccines, including the flu shot, contain extremely harmful ingredients”

Dare I ask how you found this? Call me old-fashioned, but my training has left me with a bias against “pulled it out of my arse” as a method of discovery.

Ellen Rixford, thank you for your reply. I would just like to add that I am vaccine injured with autoimmune diseases. Vaccines can, and do, cause death, autoimmune diseases and autism. And a lot more frequently than some people think. Vaccine toxins cause so many problems, and that is just the toxins that we KNOW about. Add to that little bitty microscopic pieces of GLASS in lots that they don’t recall, improperly stored vaccines and the CDC lying about the results of their own MMR safety study, and it is a miracle that anyone trusts either the CDC or the vaccine manufacturers. The good think is that hit pieces like this on good doctors shows how desperate Big Pharma and the lying CDC is to keep the lies covered. Well, the genie of truth is out of the bottle and the author(S) and people commenting here who do not speak the truth will soon find themselves and their public comments on the wrong side of history.

As has been addressed many times, none of the ingredients in vaccines are in large enough amounts to be toxic. https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/toxic-myths-about-vaccines/

Vaccines don’t cause autism, while death is theoretically possible – for example, one in a million doses can cause a severe allergic reaction that if not treated can kill – I have not seen real evidence of any death caused by vaccines in the past decades. They do prevent tens of thousands of deaths a year in the U.S. alone.

As to autoimmune diseases, with few exceptions (GBS from some flu formulations, for examples), those too are not associated with vaccines. I cannot speak to your case, of course, not knowing the details, but serious harms from vaccines are very very rare (though that does not help the rare few that suffer them, of course), and the harm they prevent numerous. Vaccinating reduces harms and deaths.

I would just like to add that I am vaccine injured with autoimmune diseases.

What proof do you have that getting vaccinated caused your autoimmune diseases?

Vaccines can, and do, cause death…

Citation needed.

…autoimmune diseases…

Citation needed.

…and autism.

Citation not needed as this is not only wrong, but has been proven wrong.

Thank God someone here has their head screwed on tight Ellen Rixford – so sick of people who think that the CDC’s one size fits all vaccine schedule that begins when a baby is born has been properly researched, proven to be safe, or is a great help to the infant out of the womb because people refuse to connect the dots that that CDC schedule helps not the infant nor their underdeveloped immune system or their gut, but surely helps the multi BILLION $ BUSINESS of vaccines. Most people who think the current CDC one size fits all vaccine schedule for infants, toddlers & children most likely haven’t researched those vaccines on both sides of the argument. What makes good sense about multiple injections of neurotoxins given to infants, toddlers & children, not to mention to ill adults or to any human for that matter? Riddle me that!

Hit piece sponsored by Big Pharma on wonderful, brave doctor speaking the truth. Keep trying. Too many now know the very real dangers of vaccines. Corruption is RAMPANT in the CDC and pharma companies. We don’t trust you, lying CDC.

Kathy – I too have many autoimmune diseases, as well as a son with autism. I know both are a direct result of being given ALL of my vaccinations in one day when I went back to college after having my first two children, because I didn’t have the records that I received them when I was a kid (even though I had, and unfortunately didn’t know at the time I could get titers drawn to prove my immunity). I immediately had a reaction (hives which lasted off and on for a year) and very soon after it was one diagnosis after another for the next few years. I had 2 more children after that, not realizing that my reaction and issues could potentially affect them. But, unlike their older siblings, my daughter has all the early markers of autoimmune issues as well and, as I mentioned, my son has autism. I know, I know…where is the proof?! Well, I don’t need anymore than I have, which is my life being completely changed for almost 2 decades now, to know. And I don’t care what anyone else says either. I know the science will eventually catch up (if enough doctors and scientists finally stand up and against the $$$ like Dr. Neides). I know, Kathy, that the pain that you live with every day, that will never go away for the rest of your life (that the best you can do is try to enjoy the days that are not quite as debilitating as your worst days) is more than enough “citation”, as far as I am concerned. And I hope and pray that all of these people here telling you that you are wrong never have to learn for themselves that they are actually the ones that are wrong through personal experience, because I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy and certainly not strangers. But I am afraid that the chances of either them, their spouse, parent, or child developing either autism, autoimmune diseases, and/or cancer as a direct result of adverse vaccine reactions is almost guaranteed, unless the path this country is on dramatically changes the way our “health” is managed (aka: controlled). Thank you for speaking up in such a biased forum. It is not always easy.
* And I have to add, I couldn’t even finish this article. I could only stomach about half of it, honestly, because it certainly is insolent, but not at all respectful. So I am confused about the name, for starters. But also, the language used throughout is so inflammatory and biased, it clearly makes the author look like the foolish one, even though his goal was obviously to make the doctors and antivax community look so. The ridiculous amount of times the word quackery was used was just silly, as if you thought if you said it enough times, surely it would convince everyone reading that it was true? And every quote you presented from Dr. Neides, when juxtaposed against your attacks, just made him sound quite logical and sensible. To be honest, I hadn’t heard of him before today (because I am not really involved or aware of what goes on in the antivax world, like I said I already know enough from my own experience, I don’t need to go searching for anything more to convince or support me). I just saw something about him on Facebook, so I googled him and your article was the first one that came up. I actually try to hear out all sides of an issue and be respectful (for real), even if I already have pretty strong opinions about an issue. But I really struggle to when people are just flat out mean and attacking of others, especially people who are genuinely trying to do the right thing. My advice would be, if you are trying to convince others that someone else is wrong, don’t stoop to a level below that person. Have you ever read C.S. Lewis’s, “The Screwtape Letters”? That might be just what you need to help you be more successful with your smear campaign.

@Shara:

I too have many autoimmune diseases, as well as a son with autism. I know both are a direct result of being given ALL of my vaccinations in one day…

There are plenty of examples in history of people “knowing” things that weren’t true. Hundreds of years ago, people “knew” that the sun revolved around the Earth. Today, a lot of people “know” that people in the Middle Ages believed the World was flat. Where is your evidence that getting a bunch of vaccines in one day caused autoimmune diseases and caused your son to be born autistic? In fact, given the antigen load we face in a normal day, what you are claiming is, to put it politely, implausible.

Yes, Orac probably is tired of responding to the same lies, and I am amazed at his fortitude and grateful for it.

Well, I guess the only thing I can say about Drs Neides and Hutchins’ practice is that I have no family in that area to warn away from it. And yes, my family does make a practice of notifying others about quackery-loving MDs, so they don’t accidentally see one just because they’ve moved to a new area and need a family doctor. While I don’t usually google any MD covered by my insurance, I have walked out of an office or two once I arrived (letting the staff know, of course, that I am not waiting to see that doctor, and why.)

I hear you. My Women’s Health rotation was full of functional medicine nonsense, and a lot of the patients were antivax. The physician who owned the practice wasn’t, but he was happy to enable some of this stuff, because a lot of his patients were cash only patients.

Worrisome indeed. Metrohealth’s a bit better, I think, but there’s still a crap load of breast is best and other stuff. One doc suggested I try melotonin (?) suppliments to help me sleep because they’re natural. Really lady? I know we’re in the psych department where things are fuzzier anyway, but “natural”? (Mostly, i think the even more natural time will help, and its staying awake that’s usually harder. I have 2 small children)

I worked with several people who do basic research on melatonin. It is still a supplement for good reason: The data on long-term safety are not there; quality control is almost non-existent; dosage recommendations for the good quality stuff are all over the map; and most importantly, melatonin seems to play a poorly understood role in lots of things besides phase-shifting your sleep cycle and circadian rhythms. Why do we have to keep repeating that cyanide is also “natural,” arsenic is “natural,” etc? Any trained MD who invokes the but-it’s-natural ploy is someone to run from, so I’m assuming the doc you saw or conferred with is a naturopath or some variation thereof. And melatonin is not necessary “natural.” Because it’s a supplement it can be and is synthesized from many different sources.

Yes, she was a psychiatrist of the MD sort. Mostly I saw the resident, but it was the mentor who said it. 🙁 it was my first visit as my ob’s been prescribing and a social worker therapist who’s been listening. I have a preexisting depression that was badly exasperated by pregnancy (with my 19 month old) and PMDD.

The melatonin people I’m talking about mostly took a very dim view of psychiatrists getting involved in the sleep disorder field, and one openly mocked psychiatrists poking their noses into sleep stuff about which they were utterly clueless. Circadian researchers generally are not great fans of MDs who do not understand the circadiana, as they call it–the theoretical basis of rhythm models–and who often recklessly provide clinical care that is often completely misguided. I am married to a circadian biologist, am still involved in the field, and worked for the NSF Center for Biological Timing (now defunct) for more than a decade with many sleep and circadian people. They privately can be very amused by what MDs–especially psychiatrists–do not know.

FWIW I submitted a board complaint against Neides to the Ohio Board regarding his anti-vax screed last year. In June, that Board dismissed the complaint stating “In our review of your complaint, we did not find enough medical or legal evidence to justify further action and your complaint has been closed.” Somehow they did not feel his public column violated section G.2 of 4731.22 stating that the Board can take action if “individual’s continued practice presents a danger of immediate and serious harm to the public.” This is disappointing, even more so now, given that Ohio, like many states is being hit hard with flu right now including many deaths.

Additionally I’m not totally sure Neides is completely severed with Cleveland Clinic. On his new practice web site FAQ section it states “Please note – if you were a patient seeing Dr. Neides at Cleveland Clinic, you will NOT need to schedule a New Patient visit at Inspire Wellness”, suggestive he still has access to those patient records.

In his talk he said that when he was fired from his leadership positions at the Cleveland Clinic he was told that he could still practice there. He apparently did, as he said later in his talk that he was told in September that his wellness clinic would be shut down at the end of the year. He also said that he would start seeing patients at his new Inspire Wellness clinic on Monday. Reading between the lines, my guess is that he probably kept seeing some patients at the Clinic until his wellness clinic shut down in December and took a few weeks off before starting at his new private practice.

Presumably he’s still on staff at the Cleveland Clinic and might well still have admitting privileges. As far as I know he never resigned from the Cleveland Clinic medical staff, which means that he would still be on it and have access to its EMR unless he were actually to resign or fail to renew his privileges and thus let them expire.

While Dr. Neides is moaning about conflicts of interest, perhaps he should explain why his new practice has a “supplement store”, where patients can buy products recommended by he and Hutchins. Do they have a financial arrangement with supplement manufacturers, or are they pushing these products out of the goodness of their hearts?

“Demanding to uncover the answers to the cause and treatment of ASD, Jessica began her educational journey in the field of Functional Medicine.”

It’s always a “journey”. Translation: “Unsatisfied with what evidence-based medicine had to say, Jessica began her descent into quackery.”

For a lot of doctors that go off the deep end, there’s often a family member they feel was somehow injured by the medical system they are now betraying–for Neides partner it appears a child with autism was her trigger.

@ Christopher Hickie:

I think that the phenomenon you describe explains how many woo-meisters ( Null and Adams for example) and non-medical antivaxxers ( AoA, TMR) got started. on their pathway to bad science.

Maybe we shouldn’t be so harsh on the Neides-Hutchins alliance. After all, their combined practice no doubt offers groovy nutrition advice, which was on display in this 2016 posting by Neides (quoting a Hutchins article from U.S. News and World Report):

“Are animal fats all bad? Fat is where toxins tend to be stored in animals. Again, knowing the source of your food is important! So the inflammatory profile of fat from a conventionally raised animal living in crowded, filthy conditions being fed GMO corn feed is vastly different than fat from an organic pasture raised animal living with minimal stress.”

Neides: “As a physician, I can appreciate how confusing nutritional recommendations can be. The important thing is to eat foods that do NOT promote inflammation. If we are going to consume saturated fat from animal protein, it should be from an organic, pasture-raised animal that lived a nice, peaceful life.”

http://www.cleveland.com/lyndhurst-south-euclid/index.ssf/2016/03/a_little_fat_in_your_diet_may.html

See? There’s the guilt-free way to pork out – just make sure your meats are from non-stressed animals listening to Vivaldi concertos, while eating non-GMO grain.

If I have to listen to that all day long, I’m happy to finally being slaughtered. Finally an end to this depressing stuff.

I have fibromyalgia and a severe sensitivity to foods with harsh pesticides/insecticides/anti-biotics/etc. I can tell you for a fact that if I eat anything with corn, wheat, soy or any animal product that is not organic I get a severe migraine in about 20 mins to a couple hours (depending on the amount). I’m basically a human guinea pig. And those things I listed are the primary GMO foods. I’m sure that’s all just a big coincidence though…

Academic institutions, even those a lot smaller than the Cleveland Clinic, have a lot of inertia, and once people inside them reach a certain position it takes a LOT for the institution to spit them out if they turn into bad apples somewhere down the road. That’s my experience, anyway, having encountered the occasional established faculty member who was grossly incompetent, unethical, or just plain nutso. In these cases, the bad apples were still functional in one way or another, usually skillful in concealing their flaws from all but immediate co-workers, and the institution was in something like denial or willful ignorance about the depth of their problems. In one case, the bad apple in question had actually risen to President of the college… i think, in these cases, the denial cycles ever stronger out of the ego of TPTB and their sense of institutional self-importance: ‘We would never select or elevate anyone but the finest. If we ever supported them, they must indeed be great!” And then, the gatekeepers can’t handle the cognitive dissonance (and humiliation) that would be involved in showing them the door.

Yet, in general, eventually (i.e. way waay too late) there’s some tipping point, when the unfettered bad apples push the stink of their rot too far, and there’s some reckoning and exit – followed, of course, by a face saving cover-up. And, after most of these (again, I’m talking about situations I’ve witnessed first hand), the institutions take some steps to insure that the particular type of bad behavior won’t be repeated, at least immediately, by replacing the bad apple with someone who is the antithesis of their fatal flaw. That is, the institution recovers, and may even get better.

What I would say about these cases is that the rise of the bad apples reveal institutional weaknesses, points where the institution values something so strongly it overlooks warning signs. And what separates the bad apples from the regular apples is not so much distinctions of kind, but distinctions of degree. (E.g. all politicians prevaricate, but then there’s Trump…) That’s how they get by until the crisis hits: the unacceptable is whittled down in perception and evaluation to be something close to routine.

Now, I know bupkiss about the internal workings of the Cleveland Clinic in general, or details of Neides story within that. But I’m inclined to guess it reflects the model I’ve witnessed. If that’s the case, Neides’s re-emergence as an abject quack wouldn’t tell us anything about the Cleveland Clinic we didn’t already know, anything all that profound, or anything as dramatically disturbing about the future of the Clinic as Orac suggests. What we already know: Like the many other “quackademic” institutions Orac decries, the CC long ago reacted to a variety of social, economic and cultural pressures by making a set of limited accomodations/openings to CAM, and promoted these things as ‘new! improved! special! better!’ medical care. We can assume, I think, that this movement was not without considerable internal politics and dissent. Somehow, Neides got himself on the ‘team’ backing the ‘new’, and because he was an ally, the forces that valued this limited move to ‘IM’ looked the other way when he began to show signs that he was… well getting into some pretty extreme quackery and pseudoscience crapola like anti-vax – which we can also guess he was showing to insiders well before he published that column that so ‘shocked, shocked!’ the higher-ups. Their denial and hubris then protected him, and may even have led to some form of promotion (Ackk!). But all this can happen and he can still be an outlier in terms of the institution as a whole, because they’re just so arrogant or partisan they don’t believe they can have outliers…

Again, by outlier, I’m talking about degree rather than general direction. I wouldn’t expect Cleveland to drop IM or FM in the wake of this mess, or even curtail the amount of their offerings therein. But I would expect them to be more careful, stick closer to those aspects of IM or FM that have been more or less successfully ‘mainstreamed’, like acupuncture for pain control and all those not-really quacky things like diet and exercise that have been “retconned” or appropriated into some CAM-y rubric. Time will tell, though, I guess.

Exactly my experience at a prestigious academic medical center. I was asked to help investigate the director of the cancer center to reinforce some existing suspicions that he had plagiarized some grant proposals he was reviewing. They also suspected he was pressuring junior people to stay quiet about it. Both suspicions were absolutely confirmed. This guy lifted entire passages out of other multi-institutional proposals. Two of the junior people quit and left research for private practice.

About a year later I saw the plagiarist at a development meeting where he was still expecting junior people to cover up for his unfitness for that schmoozing/fundraising job, but at least they had quietly removed him from a leadership position. They just bumped him sideways into a non-clinical job. He showed up for the slapdown with four lawyers who obviously pulled it off.

The same happened with an orthopedic surgeon who was falsifying Worker’s Comp records and another ortho surgeon who was a known quack and had a long history of botched procedures. He made a huge contribution to a new sports complex, which was eventually named for him. I thought that was illegal, but apparently there was some loophole he got around. He is still there. That guy also misdiagnosed me and cause a serious delay in getting treatment.

At another institution, a friend who was a critical care nurse quit when she was pressured to cover up for a marginally competent physician who made several fatal errors. There was a dual record-keeping system there for people who already had a history of being a bad apple. Only a select few were allowed access to it. She couldn’t go on record for various reasons, and she got slapped with some kind of gag. She left critical care to put in IVs all day long in a small-town hospital.

This is why I left that world.

I was asked to help investigate the director of the cancer center to reinforce some existing suspicions that he had plagiarized some grant proposals he was reviewing. They also suspected he was pressuring junior people to stay quiet about it.

Obligatory link: Only be sure always to call it please “research”.

Most proposals do not include an index, so the old Vladivostok telephone directory was probably not helpful to this guy, but there are too many people like him. Some years ago, while reviewing a manuscript for a journal, I encountered a series of paragraphs that in my biased opinion were very well written. The reason I admit to bias on this point is because I had written those paragraphs in a paper published a few years earlier in that same journal. I brought the matter to the editor’s attention, and he duly rejected the paper, but the authors proceeded to submit the paper to a different journal, which accepted it.

Honest people are always slept around by the malicious. One needs to stand up name names and possibly endure some consequences. Otherwise they will keep doing it and keep getting away with it. The thing is if one person stands up they will get cut down, but if three stand up they win.
Or in simpler terms, the only winning defense is a good offense.

“…the institution was in something like denial or willful ignorance about the depth of their problems…

where the institution values something so strongly it overlooks warning signs…

You are right, ego/power/money often does get in the way of TPTB from seeing (or more like admitting) the truth. Replace the academic institution with the CDC/Pharma/medical institution, and Dr. Neides/antivax/“quackedemic” institutions with with vaccines/the ever expanding vaccine schedule that is being forced on us “for our own good” (certainly not to fill anyone’s pockets). How can you argue that your theory is not applicable in this case?

How can you argue that your theory is not applicable in this case?

There is significant evidence of harm in the former case, not so much for the claims of vaccine injuries.

I read his “debunking” of population studies, and it’s all goalpost moving. Vaccines only cause autism in vulnerable populations, and the vulnerable are self-selected out of the vaccinated groups.

Why not identify these vulnerable populations and interpret the data? Why can’t Dr. Neides do that, or at least work with someone who could do it?

Well, I guessed wrong. I thought what happened is that Oprah gave him his own TV show, To prep for their run on the 2020 Opera-Chopra-Neides ticket.

Things could get a lot woo-friendlier in Ohio, based on a new entrant into the Ohio gubernatorial race – Dennis Kucinich.

Dennis was an ally of Dan Burton, back when his Congressional committee was attempting to link vaccination and autism (check out Dennis’ conspiracy theory-laden nonsense re thimerosal in the video:

http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2012/12/04/congress_hearing_on_vaccines_is_a_farce_of_dangerous_antivax_nonsense.html

Kucinich is fervently anti-GMO, having tried to push a mandated federal food labeling bill through Congress (and written a book based on his non-evidence based fears).

Best of all, Dennis will help us connect with extraterrestrials if elected Governor.

“So if there are space aliens, can they register to vote?

Perhaps Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich is courting their support, discussing a UFO sighting in Tuesday night’s debate.

He confirmed an account in actress Shirley MacLaine’s book that he saw a UFO at her home in Washington state. Though he didn’t address the rest of her description, that the Ohio congressman “felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind.”

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/10/31/kucinich-i-saw-a-ufo/

While a gubernatorial race between Kucinich and Renacci (Trump’s GOP pick) would be entertaining, I’d hope for a little more sanity on the Democratic side. Even if Dennis’ campaign fails to bear fruit, he could always be selected as HHS secretary by Oprah (with Neides being a promising choice for Surgeon General).

Oh Dangerous One!

For years, Kucinich has been a reliable guest on Gary Null’s show and has appeared in many of the woo-meister’s films.( g–gle/ bing their names together for listings/ recordings).Whilst the former representative is a vegan I’m not sure about his position on vaccines: he may be a sceptic..

He has appeared when Null has political discussions – usually a bizarre combination of progressive ideas like women’s and gay rights and libertarian tropes like flat taxes, anti-regulation and charter schools. They might bring up unrealistic crowd pleasers like having the government cancel foreclosures and student debt- as well as truly crazy ideas like convincing the general public to become vegans to save the planet from climate change.

I have never once heard Kucinich question the hoary old host despite the loads of drivel he spouts during the broadcast. Like Jill Stein, he seems quite comfortable at this venue.

Ugh. I may just have to move if this guy wins. It’s good to know; I’ll definitely know who NOT to vote for in the primaries.

Kucinich has appeared on Fox News to complain that the intelligence community “Deep State” is out to destroy Donald Trump. And Alex Jones loves it.

https://www.infowars.com/dennis-kucinich-deep-state-out-to-destroy-president-trump/

Dennis is not the only guy with antivax proclivities to have a certain…connection with extraterrestrials (Neil Z. Miller is another). Actually, looking at Kucinich’s pointy ears worries me a bit – should we demand to see his birth certificate to prove he’s from this world?

Exercise for the reader: How are these interventions not like vaccines?

For one thing, they all screen for conditions that are not contagious. If I don’t wanna take a digital rectal exam or colon cancer screening, I’m not going to give everyone else at my workplace cancer even if I do have it myself. It’s my funeral. My health insurance company will have words to say to me if I do refuse though, and may increase my premiums or deny me coverage outright. If I refuse a flu shot though, I’m gonna increase the chances that everyone else at work might get the flu.

One must take care when speaking for/against these issues! Public health is a massive machine, but as individuals we are not always created equal! There are certain human bodies that require special care when being vaccinated and medicated, and these numbers are rising! I think progressive attention to these biological changes advance medicine and can save thousands of lives. Perhaps the literature related to the effects of autoimmune diseases and genetic mutations on the body’s ability to rid of toxins and waste will find all of us; that we may be better informed as consumers of healthcare big pharma!

There are certain human bodies that require special care when being vaccinated and medicated…

Special snowflake argument.
One problem: if a person handles a vaccine badly, how will they do with the infection?

Special snowflake? Come one buddy, you know better. And if no one frozen drop of moisture is the same, can your mind extrapolate what the human genome does when it grows and replicates day after day…. a bit beyond a special snowflake! You know, someone with MTHFR polymorphism from both X and Y would handle the flu and varicella just fine, while these vaccines could leave that individual severely immunologically dysfunctional and left with toxins trapped throughout their body wreaking all kinds of havoc. When discussing a human being’s quality of life J. Frost, it’s unethical to not consider they may be “special snowflake.”

“You know, someone with MTHFR polymorphism from both X and Y would handle the flu and varicella just fine, while these vaccines could leave that individual severely immunologically dysfunctional and left with toxins trapped throughout their body wreaking all kinds of havoc”

No, we don’t know. Perhaps you should provide the PubMed indexed study by reputable qualified researchers that is an actual problem. Mostly because with influenza presently killing kids, you need to provide actual evidence that the vaccine would be worse.

Until then, I will just leave this:
https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/dubious-mthfr-genetic-mutation-testing/

“Generally, serious harms from vaccines are very rare.”

Which why I, and many others, are baffled that there are those that believe the vaccines cause more harm than the diseases. That is an extraordinary claim, so it needs extraordinary evidence.

I am sure Teresa will come with that evidence very very soon. Hopefully she will understand the minimum requirement for citing scientific evidence and not post a long YouTube video.

Wow….Do any of you “Doctors” ever feel inculcated or that your in an echo chamber? The propaganda abounds here with every other word like; bad apple, quackery, pseudoscience, nuts & crazy one can see from the outside that your AMA indoctrination is complete.

There are so many perplexing questions that go unanswered like for instance why the discrepancy in autism infection numbers in a country like Thailand with a significantly minimal vaccination protocol with autism rates reflected at (12/100k) and the US with highest vaccination protocols with infections rate that are off the charts(male 1/66, 1/80 respectively? Or why did Japan recently decide not to give the MMRA vaccine to its’ population after concerned and infected mothers & children complained virulently? Why the immense blowback from Big Pharma? Why are independent studies & peered reviewed papers discarded in lieu of corporate pharma paid studies & papers? Why the demonization of alternative therapies? Why castigate people who cure people with methods other than conventional medicine? Why debase yourselves by referring to highly intelligent and respected colleagues as quacks?

I’ll tell you why….money, cognitive dissonance & malicious intent

Corporations in the US have all the rights of a citizen of the United States under the Constitution and yet none of the literal humanity, empathy or inherent curiosity of the individual. Hence corporations and institutions inculcate themselves like this very blog from criticism or self reflection for the sheer reasons related to hubris & financial profit-returns. A person can’t even do investigative journalism on the topic or a documentary for fear of being demonized unilaterally in the corrupt corporate media, threatened with jail or in many cases silenced permanently some by the most horrific & unexplained ways.

Vaccines are toxic, one need only review which occupational segments of the population are the least vaccinated in the US; “answer” doctors, their families & the medical community. Why is this?

The last time I felt inculcated was when I was doing some tech work at a Wal Mart and got to overhear a video for new employees about how bad unions are.

FWIW, IANAD. I did the classes and passed the candidate qualifying exam, but didn’t have time to complete the research.

Any claim that vaccines cause autism needs to have studies of quality comparable to the ones performed in multiple countries and used in Taylor et al to generate a meta-analysis with over 1 million subjects that gave enough unvaccinated subjects to get an accurate estimate of the ASD rate in them. And it showed that vaccinated people are no more or less likely to get autism than unvaccinated.

Most of the increase is explained by changes in the diagnostic criteria, substituting ASD for conditions that were previously diagnosed in a different category, and increased awareness.

And it’s early still but the previous increase in ASD appears to be leveling off.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/u-s-autism-rates-appear-to-be-stabilizing/

Any doctor who supports homeopathy is definitely a quack. And his website has a link to a third party service for purchasing your choice of supplements. So he’s almost a “hawker of salves and potions”.

“Or why did Japan recently decide not to give the MMRA vaccine to its’ population after concerned and infected mothers & children complained virulently?”

What is an “MMRA” vaccine? Japan is the last place to copy vaccine policy from. Their decisions are often political, not scientific. This has caused several kids to die. First it was pertussis in the 1970s, measles in the last couple decades, and most recently an increase in congenital rubella syndrome:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3824286/

Which says in its conclusion:

Although issues on immunization should be discussed based on scientific evidence as a third party, it belongs to the political side at present. It may be hard to listen to the clinical needs of general physicians for the improvement of immunization practice. It should be organized for the purpose of promoting public health with a longitudinal vision for immunization policies and prompt responses to the critical issues, without the influence by political changes.

By the way, what in vaccine is more “toxic” than tetanospasmin? Just post the PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule causes more harm than the disease.

And when you are done with that, explain why it is better for kids to get measles, chicken pox, Hib, and rotavirus than prevent those and other diseases? Why is having a significant number of kids ending up in the hospital than giving vaccines? Present the verifiable economic study that disproves this one:
Pediatrics. 2014 Apr;133(4):577-85.
Economic Evaluation of the Routine Childhood Immunization Program in the United States, 2009

There are so many perplexing questions that go unanswered like for instance why the discrepancy in autism infection numbers in a country like Thailand with a significantly minimal vaccination protocol

Yes, if it’s not making things up about Israel, it’s making things up about Thailand (PDF; see p.4).

BCG and Japanese encephalitis, and this guy (Willie) thinks that kids in Thailand are less vaccinated than ones in the US? snort

autism infection numbers

Autism is an infection now? This raises the prospect of vaccinating against it!

Sorry the number in Thailand 73.4 per 100
Thai government statistics & in the US the CDC say 1 in 68. By my imbelic jackoff statistical mind that’s a big difference. You can read about it yourself if you care to look or must facts be peer reviewed for this site?

Dr Frost, I presume….

Does Thailand have the exact same access to autism screening as the USA?
Does Thailand have the exact same infectious disease burden as the USA?

If the answer is no then your comparison is invalid.

pathetic!
just because you’ve never heard of such faculties, they are all quack. No matter how many stacks of evidences that proves the science behind it..

So the statistical anomalies of approximately 1 in 1200 in Thailand and 1 in 68 in the US are to be disregarded and explained away because of counting, sex trafficking and the genetic roll of the dice. That’s your scientific response to the anomaly. You “must” be joking, no? Like I said before, the cognitive dissonance or willfully malicious disregard for facts is astounding and verging on the obtuse. The men and women on this site love to throw around words like “quack, nut job & painfully ill-informed”, the only quacks I see are the doctors & scientists here. You are so wrapped up in your own dogma that questioning the status quo becomes heresy. The very antithesis of the pursuit of truth & scientific reasoning. There is one significant environmental factor that is missing in your discussions and that is the vast and ever expanding vaccination protocols occurring stateside relative to the minimal vaccination protocols in Thailand.

Begin with the ad hominem for that seems to be standard when you have no legitimate scientific or intellectual counter argument. It’s quite funny actually reading your poor attempts at rebuttal.

You remind me of the “scientists” who keep moving the goal posts of global warming to climate change; fudging the numbers along the way with UN/Think Tank corporate funded fraudulent numbers in fluctuations of temperature. Operating from the same playbook; when all else fails because your arguments become baseless start with the ad hominem, then move to demonizing and eventually propose laws stifling free speech.

Excuse me? How is showing evidence of sex trafficking of children in Thailand and that actual genetic sequences of over half of the causes of autism is considered “ad hominem”? I am sorry but actually producing evidence is neither an insult to your person nor is it saying you should be ignored for who you are (which have no clue about, since you are just a random person on teh internets).

Thailand is not the United States of America. There are different laws. Now, seriously, provide the PubMed studies by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine on the present American pediatric causes more harm than the disease.

Disprove this:
http://spark-sf.s3.amazonaws.com/SPARK_gene_list.pdf

… and this…
Pediatrics. 2014 Apr;133(4):577-85.
Economic Evaluation of the Routine Childhood Immunization Program in the United States, 2009.

Post actual science and economics, not empty accusations.

Dropped a word: “Now, seriously, provide the PubMed studies by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule causes more harm than the disease.”

Also, Mr. Webber, providing contrary links and asking for evidence is not an “ad hominem” attack. Please use the googles to find the actual definition, and actually bring some verifiable evidence to the table. It should only pertain to the country I asked about. In case you don’t understand “American” means just the data pertinent to the United States of America. It is located between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, bordered by Canada (kind of, there is Alaska) to the north and Mexico to the south. Just reference Google maps. It is not Thailand.

By the way, did you know that the United States of America was the third most populous country on this planet? The first and second are China and India.

So the statistical anomalies of approximately 1 in 1200 in Thailand and 1 in 68 in the US.

WTF happened to “73.4 per 100 [sic] Thai government statistics & in the US the CDC say 1 in 68“?

There is one significant environmental factor that is missing in your discussions and that is the vast and ever expanding vaccination protocols occurring stateside relative to the minimal vaccination protocols in Thailand.

Do you know what “links” are? You have already had this assertion disproved, Mr. Ranting About “Ad Hominems.”

because of counting, sex trafficking and the genetic roll of the dice

I also have no idea what “pussy make ping-pong ball” has to do with the price of tea in Pattaya.

73.4 per 100,000(Thailand) no MMR vaccine

1 per 68(USA) 17 vaccines including MMR

So I get it we are just more genetically predisposed in America to Autism.

That perfect sense now that I understand your point the anomaly just disappears.

73.4 per 100,000(Thailand) no MMR vaccine.

Do you even know how hyperlinks work? Narad provided you with both the Thai Vaccination Schedule AND Vaccine Compliance rates from Thailand. Since you seem not to, I’ll post them below in untagged form.

https://www.fondation-merieux.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/vaccinology-2017-suchada-jiamsiri.pdf

The above is a PDF of the vaccination Schedule in Thailand. If you look at page 4, you will see that the MMR is given at 9 months and a second time at 2 years and 6 months.

http://apps.who.int/immunization_monitoring/globalsummary/coverages?c=THA

The above is a summary of coverage for different vaccines in Thailand. For years, coverage for every vaccine has been over 90%.

Finally, to quote JustaTech:

Does Thailand have the exact same access to autism screening as the USA?
Does Thailand have the exact same infectious disease burden as the USA?

If the answer is no then your comparison is invalid.

73.4 per 100,000(Thailand)

I don’t suppose you’d care to provide a source for this “government statisic,” would you? I’ve seen several figures, but none within an order of magnitude of yours. Then again, you were off by 3 orders last time around.

“explained away because of counting”. Yes, that is what I said. If children in Thailand are not screened the same way as children in the USA for autism, then it is entirely possible, even probable, that the rate of autism in children in Thailand is much higher, even close to the US rate. But no one can know if the children are not screened and diagnosed.
Since you have not shown that the screening and diagnostic criteria are the same in the USA and Thailand, then yes “counting” is still a very serious possible explanation for the difference in measured autism rates.

Well said William. All these “quacks” that support vaccines are people that can’t be shown the facts because their salary depends on not understanding the facts.

As for the “sex trafficking” example, it was brought by an esteemed member of this discussion group Chris. I was asked if the numbers of kidnapped children were included in Thailand’s rate of autism numbers. Seems an odd point to make but par for the level of sarcasm here.

It was a way to show you that by bringing up Thailand you were compare apples with oranges. It was the one extreme and true issue that shows there is a difference in the educational, medical and legal systems compared to the United States of America. To get more information if you can figure out how to read an entire book, check out Unstrange Minds by Dr. R.R. Grinker.

Now come up with the PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine on the American pediatric causes more harm than the diseases.

Plus, tell us what is wrong with this study that has actually found half of the causes of the autism spectrum syndromes:

Vaccine Induced Immune Overload
and the Epidemic of Chronic Autoimmune Childhood Diseases:
(Trading Temporary, Often-Self-Limited Infectious Diseases of Childhood for Permanent Vaccine-induced Chronic Illnesses That Last a Lifetime)

By Gary G. Kohls, MD, Duluth, Minnesota

Posted at: http://www.globalresearch.ca/vaccine-induced-immune-overload-and-the-epidemic-of-chronic-autoimmune-childhood-disease/5431013

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!” – Upton Sinclair, anti-fascist, anti-imperialist American author who wrote in the first half of the 20th century. Sinclair’s 1903 novel “Jungle” (about the repulsive slaughterhouse practices in the meat-packing industry in Chicago) led to President Theodore Roosevelt’s pushing through the Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906.

“No vaccine manufacturer shall be liable…for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death.” – President Ronald Reagan, as he signed The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) of 1986, absolving drug companies from all medico-legal liability when children die or are disabled from vaccine injuries, thus reversing – 80 years later – many of the intentions of the original FDA legislation.

“When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses … the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker, a raving lunatic.” – Dresden James

”In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act“. – George Orwell

Most people in our vaccine-overloaded, over-vaccinated society knows of one or more families that have one or more children with chronic, usually incurable (but probably preventable) diseases that will need lifelong, regular, costly clinic “management” and the highly probable use of additional, potentially toxic, costly, synthetic, even dependency-inducing medications that can cause additional drug-induced illnesses (that may further sicken the already-ill children).

The following peer-reviewed article convincingly implicates iatrogenic (doctor-, drug-, surgery- or vaccine-caused – the prime reason for the irate, nearly apoplectic response whenever anybody questions America’s over-vaccination agendas) vaccine-induced immune overload as a likely major cause of America’s current epidemic of chronic illnesses of childhood (and adulthood) that has paralleled the dramatic several decades-long increase of childhood vaccinations – many of which have or have had a variety of known cellular immunotoxins in them (such as mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, MSG, neomycin, gentamycin, streptomycin, polymyxin B, polyethylene glycol (antifreeze), squalene, killed and/or live viruses, viral contaminants (some of which are carcinogenic), etc).

<<<It Isn’t Just About Autism, Folks. It’s Also About the Autoimmune Disorder Epidemic Among Children>>>

The list of autoimmune disorders considered in this article includes such increasingly common chronic illnesses as “pre-diabetes:, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, nonalcoholic fatty liver (= NASH = nonalcoholic steatohepatitis), autism spectrum disorders, asthma, food allergies, a variety of organ-specific autoimmune disorders (such as thyroiditis, vasculitis and autoimmune rheumatic diseases like SLE (lupus), rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and sarcoidosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, and metabolic syndrome (= obesity, type 2 diabetes/insulin resistance, hypertension, and dyslipidemia).

J. Barthelow Classen, MD, immunologist and the author of the present study says “since 1999 the routine pediatric immunization schedule has increased by 80 vaccines” (that number counts each strain of antigenic virus or bacteria that has been included in the CDC’s new inoculant recommendations). Classen believes that “the sum of the data described and reviewed (in the paper that has been summarized below) supports a causal relationship”.

From the perspective of the tens of thousands of parents (since the “age of autism” began just a few decades ago) who know for certain that their previously happy, developmentally normal infants were neurologically sickened shortly after routine vaccinations, Dr Classen’s powerful scientific research cannot be discounted, even with the expected media blitz that is expected from Big Pharma, the AMA, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the AAFP, the CDC, the WHO and the various trade organizations that profit so mightily from the vaccine industry.

This important article below was published on February 19, 2014, in the Journal of Molecular and Genetic Medicine.

The entire original article and the 42 supporting journal references are available at: http://www.vaccines.net/vaccine-induced-immune-overload.pdf.

Please, if readers have in the past reflexively (and blindly) trusted the CDC, Big Medicine, the FDA, the AMA, the American Academy of Pediatrics, etc (all powerful and wealthy institutions whose survival can depend on the largesse of Big Vaccine and Big Pharma industries), do your due diligence, for heaven’s sake and study the literature which has been unjustly (and very unscientifically) censored out of the mainstream media (which also relies on advertising dollars from those institutions.

The truly open-minded scientists who really know about the serious, permanent neurological and immunologic damage that over-vaccinating and overstimulating the immune system of tiny babies (and even older patients) know that blindly trusting the above powerful institutions when they promote their highly profitable vaccine agendas is the real pseudoscience. There is NO proof that multiple vaccinations in 2, 4, and 6 month-old babies is safe!! What kind of medicine is that?

Review of Vaccine Induced Immune Overload and the Resulting Epidemics of Type 1 Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome, Emphasis on Explaining the Recent Accelerations in the Risk of Pre-diabetes and other Immune Mediated Diseases

Abstract

There has been an epidemic of inflammatory diseases that has paralleled the epidemic on iatrogenic immune stimulation with vaccines. Extensive evidence links vaccine induced immune over load with the epidemic of type 1 diabetes. More recent data indicates that obesity, type 2 diabetes and other components of metabolic syndrome are highly associated with immunization and may be manifestations of the negative feedback loop of the immune system reacting to the immune overload. The epidemic of diabetes/pre-diabetes appears to be accelerating at a time when the prevalence of obesity has stabilized, indicating that the negative feedback system of the immune system has been over whelmed. The theory of vaccine induced immune overload can explain the key observations that have confounded many competing hypotheses. The current paper reviews the evidence that vaccine induced immune overload explains the disconnect between the increase in pre-diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver at a time when the
obesity epidemic is waning in children.

Introduction

Twenty years ago it was predicted that a massive increase in immunization would result in a massive increase in people with chronic immune related diseases like type 1 diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and asthma [1]. A massive increase in immunization has occurred. In the United States for example since just 1999 children are scheduled to routinely receive over 80 additional vaccines over their childhood as explained below. The increase in immunization has been followed by a huge increase in inflammation associated disorders.

Diseases like autism, type 1 diabetes, asthma, food allergies, many autoimmune diseases, obesity, type 2 diabetes, NASH and metabolic syndrome have increased many-fold in children. The rate of change of several closely followed diseases appears to be accelerating while others have decelerated. This paper describes how the theory of vaccine induced immune overload can explain many observations about the changes in the epidemics.

Many hypotheses have been proposed to find alternate explanations for these epidemics, such as the hygiene hypothesis for autoimmune diseases and poor diet or decreased exercise for the obesity epidemic.

These hypotheses don’t readily explain the recent changes in the rates of these diseases. For example the prevalence of obesity in US children has stabilized while junk food and leisure activities persists, and the epidemics of autoimmune diseases continue to rise at a time where hygiene does not seem to increase.

Recently publications have provided evidence that vaccines are responsible for the epidemics of both autoimmune diseases such as type 1 diabetes as well as the epidemic of type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome [2].

One major problem with vaccines is the concept of one size fits all. Package inserts of almost all vaccines recommend a dose based on age. In order for a vaccine to be a commercial success it is expected to induce a protective immune response in well over 90% of children. In order for this to happen a dose, based on age, must stimulate a protective immune response in those with the weakest immune system. In the process of doing this, the other 90% or more of children have their immune system over-stimulated. The process of over stimulating the immune system time and time again increases the risk of inflammatory diseases like autoimmune diseases, and allergies which cause even more inflammation. The clinical manifestation of disease depends on one’s physiologic response to inflammation as has previously been reviewed[3].

Inflammation causes the release of cytokines which can trigger autoimmune diseases but also stimulate cortisol production, the major negative feedback loop of the immune system. According to the theory inflammation induced cortisol production varies based on race [3] which can be explained by the presence of genes that alter cortisol production. Individuals who produce a lot of cortisol in response to inflammation have a tendency to develop a Cushingoid like response that includes obesity, type 2 diabetes/insulin resistance, hypertension, and dyslipidemia which is called metabolic syndrome.

Evidence that vaccines cause type 1 diabetes has been well established. Data from a large prospective clinical trial of the Haemophilus vaccine [4] as well as epidemiology data [5] support vaccines as a major causative agent for type 1 diabetes. The data from the clinical trial validates an animal toxicity model [4]. The findings were verified by others [6]. Discontinuation of vaccines has been repeatedly shown to be followed by declines in the rates of type 1 diabetes [5,7]. Evidence that vaccines cause type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome has been reviewed recently [2]. Evidence includes the observation that the discontinuation of school age BCG vaccination in Japan was followed by a decrease in type 2 diabetes in children in Japan [8].

Since 1999 the routine pediatric immunization schedule [9,10] increased by 80 vaccines. This number is derived by the fact that multivalent vaccines contain specific vaccines to each separate strain.

The following have been added, pneumococcus (13 valent), meningococcus (4 valent), human papilloma virus (4 valent), hepatitis A (1 valent), rotavirus (4 additional valent), influenza (3 valent per year x 18 years=54).

Parallel Epidemics of Inflammatory Diseases

The theory of vaccine induced immune overload explains the parallel epidemics of multiple different autoimmune diseases. It is a known fact that the pathophysiology is shared in many autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Patients with autoimmune disease often have more than one autoimmune disease or have a family history of multiple different autoimmune diseases. It is thus not surprising that many inflammatory diseases are increasing along with type 1 diabetes, in fact it is expected. A wide variety of diseases have been reported to increasing in children. There are insufficient data to know if the prevalence of the majority of inflammatory diseases is increasing.

However given the number and variety diseases that are reported to be increasing in children it is likely many more also increasing. Epidemiology studies show a close linkage between type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. Type 1 diabetes is strongly linked with other autoimmune diseases in Type II polyglandular autoimmune syndrome [19]. In this syndrome 52% of patients have diabetes mellitus, 69% have autoimmune thyroid disease and 100% have Addison’s disease.

Patients with type 1 diabetes and their close relatives are at increased risk for organ specific autoimmune disease [20]. Some of the epidemiology data comes from studies of families where several members have autoimmune disease. Family studies indicate type 1 diabetes is linked to the development of several different autoimmune diseases including organ specific autoimmune diseases and rheumatoid diseases. Close relatives of patients with type 1 diabetes have an increased risk of a wide variety of different autoantibodies [21,22]. It has been found that depending on the family, type 1 diabetes is linked with either an increased risk of an organ specific autoimmune disease or a rheumatoid disease [23]. A large study of Mennonites showed a linkage between type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases including organ specific and rheumatoid diseases [24].

Immune stimulation with alpha interferon increases the risk of type 1 diabetes and a wide variety of other autoimmune diseases. People receive alpha interferon for the treatment of viral hepatitis and cancers. Alpha interferon has been repeatedly reported to cause type 1 diabetes in humans [25-28]. One of 40 patients receiving alpha interferon in a Japanese study developed anti-islet cell antibodies [28].

An Italian study found 14 of 11,241 patients receiving alpha interferon developed diabetes mellitus [29]. Alpha interferon also increases the risk of organ specific autoimmune diseases such as thyroiditis and autoimmune rheumatic diseases such as SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and sarcoid [30]. It has been reported that upon the
administration of alpha interferon that the same patient developed both rheumatoid and organ specific autoimmune diseases [31,32].

It is well accepted that the diagnosis of autism is epidemic. Many cases of autism have a strong inflammatory component and the epidemic has already been linked to vaccine induced overload [33].

Autism epidemiologically linked to diabetes and those with autism have a family history of increased risk for autoimmune diseases. Attention deficit syndrome is epidemic and epidemiologically linked to increased risk of immune disorders [34].

Many inflammatory mediated diseases other than diabetes are epidemic. The incidence of psoriasis has been reported to double in children [35]. Autoimmune anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody vasculitis resulting in renal failure has also been increased [36].

Wegener’s Granulomatosis has been reported to increase in children [37]. The incidence of inflammatory bowel disease is also increasing rapidly in children [38].

Data indicates vaccines can act to sensitize recipients to environmental antigens. The CDC [39] found several vaccines were associated with an increased risk of asthma including the Haemophilus influenzae type b, relative risk 1.18 (1.02 to 1.36) and hepatitis B vaccine 1.20 (1.13 to 1.27). It is not surprising then that there is a rise in food related allergens [40]. Peanut allergy has tripled in children since 1997 [41]. Immune mediated food related disease, celiac disease [42], has also increased substantially.

Conclusion

There has been an epidemic of inflammatory diseases that has paralleled the epidemic of iatrogenic immune stimulation with vaccines. The epidemic of diabetes/pre-diabetes appears to be accelerating at a time when the prevalence of obesity has stabilized, indicating that the negative feedback system of the immune system has been over-whelmed.

The theory of vaccine induced immune overload explains the key observations that have confounded many competing hypothesis. Unfortunately (Ed. Note: “tragically” would have been a better term) the prospective controlled trials of vaccines performed for licensure (Ed. note: by Big Pharma) are either too small, too short in duration or inappropriately controlled (use other vaccines as controls) to appropriately study the relationship between vaccines and these epidemics. Furthermore most (post-marketing) epidemiological studies performed after licensure of vaccines suffer from the same deficiencies. The conclusions of this paper are based on data from a single clinical trial, animal toxicity studies, and epidemiological studies. While it would be ideal to have more clinical trial data, industry and government have been reluctant to provide such information. However, conclusions regarding toxicity of many agents including cigarettes and asbestos were made without clinical trial data. The author believes that the sum of the data described and reviewed in this paper supports a causal relationship.

“J. Barthelow Classen, MD, immunologist and the author of the present study says “since 1999 the routine pediatric immunization schedule has increased by 80 vaccines” ”

Um, yeah, we can discount him, mostly because he is in the pockets of the Dwoskin family. In general it is best to ignore any “research” of those on this list:
http://vaccinesafetyconference.com/speakers.html

Did you get an invitation to that conference? Also, Classen is a patent troll:
http://insulinnation.com/living/diabetes-vaccines-and-the-patent-troll/

By the way, love the “inflammatory” bit causing autism. Especially since it totally ignores the immune impact from actual diseases. But what is a minor contradiction to a good conspiracy story? Something you seem to excel at (like ignoring Robin Williams actual medical issues, like his Lewy Body Dementia).

Anyway, there is much better research going on at the Simon’s Foundation with their SPARK for Autism study, which I have linked to a few times on this page.

More:

In a case involving patents directed to methods of choosing immunization schedules for infants, the court found in favor of the defendants’ motion for attorney fees because the patentee had maintained its claim of patent infringement against the defendant for nine years, requiring the defendants to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process, even though the patentee “knew … that its claims were objectively baseless.” Classen Immunotherapies Inc. v. Biogen Idec, et al., WDQ-04-2607, 2014 WL 2069653, at *6 (D. Md. May 14). This case appears to fall into Octane’s “weak litigating position” prong.

But he knows no one here would click on it! He just had to spread his special words for all the world to see, again.

It is mildly amusing that Classen has “found” that a birth dose of anthrax vaccine prevents diabetes in rodents, though.

(Ed. Note: “tragically” would have been a better term)

Only if one doesn’t know what that word means.

”In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act“. – George Orwell

If you can’t be arsed checking the authenticity of those made-up “quotations” you read on someone’s FB page before passing them on like a dose of the clap, I’m going to guess that the rest f your “facts” are equally fraudulent.
https://quoteinvestigator.com/2013/02/24/truth-revolutionary/

Seriously, what is it with antivaxxers regurging their human-centipede lists of bogus “quotations”? Is it something they feel obliged to do, as a purity test, to prove their commitment to the cause of mendacity?

I’m also wondering about this one, from the man who helped bring you Journey to the Far Side of the Sun:

“When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses … the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker, a raving lunatic.” – Dresden James [sic]

Right, Clyde-
I’ve heard this quote tossed about frequently by woo-meisters. Refer to governmental agencies as the “ministries of truth”
Lately, they’ve been calling most media “fake news”
whilst their own… er.. material is the real deal.

When some drive-by plagiarism-bot pukes out umpteen screenfulls of copy-pasta and calls it “A peer-reviewed article”, you KNOW that it’s going to be a paid press-release from a journal-shaped dumpster.

The following peer-reviewed article
“Peeer-reviewed”?! ‘J Mol Genet Med’ is a feckin’ OMICS feckin’ puke-funnel. Classen pimped himself out with a paid press-release and called it an “article” because he really is that much of a low-life scammer.

Medical Doctor Responds to Minnesota School Board’s Decision to Ban Under-Vaccinated Students from Attending School

On Big Vaccine’s Dis-Informers

by Gary G. Kohls, M.D.

http://vaccineimpact.com/2017/medical-doctor-responds-to-minnesota-school-boards-decision-to-ban-under-vaccinated-students-from-attending-school/

In recent days, I have been in communication with several journalists who have been writing about issues that pertain to an issue in which I have some expertise: the alleged safety and efficacy of the huge number of neurotoxin-containing vaccines that are rather cavalierly administered to babies as young as 1 day, 2 months, 4 months and 6 months, ages in which their blood-brain barriers, their immune systems and their mitochondria are at their most immature and most vulnerable to toxins.

Recently there has been information in the news about Rochester, Minnesota’s school board. They have decreed, probably with the advice and blessings of the Mayo Clinic, that they will be banning from school attendance the couple hundred “under-immunized or un-immunized” students (according to CDC recommendations) until they receive their shots or get clearance from a physician or a parent attesting to their philosophical or religious objections to the shots. The school board has somehow deemed these students to be an existential threat to the immunized students on the basis of the un-proven theory of “herd immunity.”

(Read the communication I had with a journalist who wrote about the Rochester issue at: http://www.naturalblaze.com/2017/03/rochester-minnesotas-ill-conceived-decision-ban-under-vaccinated-children-public-schools.html)

If You See Something, Say Something

I count myself among a group of whistle-blowing physicians and other scientists who have seen through the massive Big Pharma-generated dis-information campaign that is designed to push more and more costly vaccines onto an unsuspecting public. (270 new ones are in Big Pharma’s pipeline.) The campaign is also designed to discredit skeptics of that dis-information agenda – not to mention the multitudes of vaccine-injured and vaccine-disabled (and dead) children and families that their neurotoxic vaccine have damaged. Because I “saw something,” I felt obligated to “say something” publicly.

The pro-vaccine – and very well-funded – corporate dis-informers call us well-informed vaccine skeptics “Anti-Vaxxers,” a cowardly tactic known as an “ad hominem attack.” Ad hominem attacks are designed to smear an opponent’s point of view when the smearer isn’t capable of refuting it in an open, fair and rational debate. These corporate smearers have very successfully influenced healthcare journalists to repeat their talking points. Most journalists, even those that write about healthcare issues, are not knowledgeable enough to see through corporate subterfuge. In fact, they often use biased CDC or corporate-provided information to write their columns and books.

(The use of the term “conspiracy theorist” is a similarly cowardly ad hominem attack tactic largely used by official government dis-informer groups like America’s multinational corporations, the Deep State ruling groups, the intelligence agencies like the FBI and CIA, (not to mention similar groups like Britain’s MI6 and Israel’s Mossad). These organizations are all well-funded secretive organizations that spend most of their time planning real conspiracies against dissidents and other governments and anyone that is interfering with a corporation’s commercial agenda. These groups wish to keep the conspiracies secret by labeling as “conspiracy theorists” the ones who are legitimately trying to figure out what’s happening behind their closed doors.

Educating Healthcare Journalists About the Nefarious Agendas of Big Pharma

So, noting that my previous efforts at shining a light on the conspirators in Big Pharma’s vaccine manufacturing subsidiaries hasn’t yet made an impact, I decided that I need to do more to educate reporters, journalists and talk show interviewers (and hopefully physicians, physician assistants, nurses, clinics, journalists and legislators) about some of the basic science of immunity and the many censored-out dangers of the pro-vaccine agenda.

The assumption that all vaccines are both safe and effective is patently and provably false, and too many innocent babies, children and adults have been damaged by those false assumptions. I have been studying the evidence that has been covered-up by Big Vaccine’s manufacturers for years, and I have seen the massive untruths that have been taught to us medical professionals since we were in med school (or nursing school).

Vaccines Have Never Been Proven to be Either Effective or Safe (The US Supreme Court Declared Vaccines to be “Unavoidable Unsafe”)

Therefore, being an altruistic physician with no ulterior motives, I feel compelled to try to counter the dis-information that is behind so many iatrogenic, vaccine-induced disease entities that are so commonly mis-diagnosed.

Open-minded readers and people who want to know more about medical science – hopefully including healthcare professionals and journalists (who are often gullible, naive and often not scientifically-literate) – should be willing to look at the evidence that Big Pharma and the ingrained medical establishment doesn’t want them to see.

One radio interview that I heard a few days ago, illustrated well the pervasiveness of the public dis-information campaign that came from the vaccine industry. The interview was broadcast on the new NPR radio program – 1A. Here are some excerpts from a letter that I wrote to the host. It has been edited somewhat from the original.

Dear Radio Host:

I heard your interview with health journalist Dr. MW (presumed to be a full-time journalist), who was touting her new book about the history of the vaccine industry. MW was urging universal vaccinations for everybody, even tiny infants, who are often inoculated with up to 8 antigens at a single session (up to 80 before they reach school age!) – a policy that has never been proven to be safe or effective by either the vaccine industry or the CDC!

Listening to the interview made me suspect that MW is ignorant about many of the current issues that are creating a lot of anxiety amongst honorable CDC scientists and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) members, especially when they study the data about such vaccine-induced diseases like the Macrophagic Myofasciitis (MMF) syndrome and the Autoimmune/inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (ASIA syndrome, aka “Shoenfeld’s syndrome”), both of which are caused by the aluminum adjuvants that are in many vaccines given so cavalierly to infants and children (and adults).

Both those vaccine-induced realities have full-blown expressions as well as partial, sub-syndromal expressions, both of which are difficult diagnoses to make. The importance of recognizing a vaccine adverse event and making an accurate diagnosis is that further inoculations with the offending vaccine is contra-indicated, since the metallic adjuvants in the vaccines accumulate in the body’s tissues (especially the brain) thus making the patient likely to become sicker with each inoculation.

MW also may have conflicts of interest that you didn’t ask her to disclose, one of which is simply being a physician (nearly all of us docs have been heavily indoctrinated about the so-called safety and efficacy of vaccines ever since med school and are thus blind to the sobering realities of vaccine-induced injuries and deaths).

The second potential conflict of interest for MW is the political/economic stance of the organization she writes for, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) an otherwise fine organization that has, over the 150+ years of its existence, gradually come under the influence of for-profit industries like Big Pharma. The AAAS seems to be no different in conforming to Big Business’s agendas than the CDC, the FDA, the NIMH and most of the well-known medical professional lobbying organizations (like the AMA, the AAP and the AAFP), all of which are uniformly in the camp of pro-vaccine and pro-Big Pharma groups.

The AAAS is undoubtedly somewhat beholden to its Big Pharma advertisers in its well-respected journal Science, for we all know the power and wisdom in the old saying that “he who pays the piper calls the tune.”

It seems apparent that the editors and health writers that are employed by the AAAS and get published in Science, including MW, have gotten the word to censor out the other side of the vaccine debate (see the article below). Academic physician authors that get published in previously well-respected medical journals like JAMA, NEJM, Lancet, etc have similar Big Pharma financial conflicts of interest – and thus are not to be fully trusted when they are promoting pharmaceutical products.

We altruistic scientists and journalists know that what was just described is bad science and bad medicine, but it leads to lousy journalism as well!

I know many parents (and also know the tragic stories of hundreds more) who have testified under oath that their totally normal infants and children were suddenly sickened with high fevers, grand mal seizures, continuous crying, unresponsiveness, had a near-SIDS episode (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), acted like they had encephalitits or meningitis, or became otherwise neurologically permanently disabled after the vaccines were given, often later being given a diagnosis of ASD of unknown etiology or an autoimmune disorder of unknown etiology.

Such iatrogenic (doctor-caused, treatment-caused, drug-caused or vaccine-caused) sequelae are exactly what would be predicted if an infant (or lab animal) is given an intramuscular injection of mercury (which has no safe level in the cells or mitochondria of living animals) or aluminum (which also has no safe level in living tissues or their mitochondria) or live viruses (MMR). Often the adverse effects aren’t recognized for months of until additional vaccinations are given. Perhaps a lowering of IQ points or subtle behavior abnormalities won’t ever be blamed on the over-vaccination event.

When inoculations are administered, the immunogenic foreign substances are injected into muscle, which is thoroughly vascularized with small arteries, veins and capillaries and thus the shot could easily be injected directly into the bloodstream rather than into relatively bloodless tissue – which is where it is supposed to reside for days or weeks while the body’s immune system is theoretically supposed to develop elevated antibodies against whatever antigen the aluminum nanoparticles were marinated with during the corporate manufacturing process.

(The development of increased levels of antibodies against protein or DNA molecules is the theoretical basis for the vaccine industry’s claims for vaccine efficacy. But vaccines do absolutely NOTHING to increase the cellular immunity of the vaccinated individual [except for actually suppressing it!], which is likely the reason why naturally-occurring viral infections like wild-virus mumps, measles, chickenpox and rubella give life-long immunity (because BOTH cellular AND serological immunity is stimulated) whereas vaccinations that only stimulate serological immunity require booster shots of viral fragments, viral DNA or otherwise altered viruses in order to theoretically achieve intermittently waning serological immunity.) Expect Merck and GlaxoSmithKline to eventually announce that their Human Papillomavirus vaccines (that have never been proven to prevent cervical cancer in a single instance) will require lifelong periodic boosters of their HPV shots – probably at $200 per shot!

(The idea behind using aluminum adjuvants in many vaccines is that the body generates increased amounts of immunoglobulins that are theoretically supposed to protect against future infections from the virus or viral particles that have been incubated with aluminum nanoparticles in the manufacturing process.)

Inadvertently, the aluminum can also attach to muscle cellular protein, vascular protein, white blood cells, platelets, myelin/fatty tissue, collagen (like joint tissue) and assorted molecular mimics, against which the body’s immune system is fully capable of developing antibodies (thus autoimmunity or hyperimmunity). This vaccine-induced autoimmunity is often significant enough to create a serious, un-anticipated, iatrogenic, autoimmune disorder that the vaccinologists have been horrified to discover and which the pediatricians, family physicians, vaccine corporations – and the CDC – don’t want to know anything about!

Cognitive dissonance (the psychological discomfort one feels when confronted by a new truth that contradicts an old, deeply held belief) is a powerful motivator in medicine and pharmacology today just as it is in the general population, and there are only a few knowledgeable scientists who are willing or courageous enough to point out that the conflicted “emperors” of Big Pharma, Big Medicine, the CDC, the FDA and the AMA have no clothes when it comes to vaccine policy. And, this is where you journalists come in, there are even fewer healthcare writers who are given permission – or are willing – to write about the censored-out facts.

So, not only is there an escalating incidence of autism spectrum disorders that is synchronous with the dramatic increases of neurotoxic infant vaccinations over the past generation, there is also a parallel escalating incidence of autoimmune disorders in fully vaccinated children!

It is a virtual certainty that both epidemics have similar root causes: the ingredients in the ubiquitous vaccines that are genotoxic, neurotoxic and also poisonous to cellular mitochondria.

Included among the various vaccine-induced autoimmune disorders are juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, lupus, asthma, Gulf War Syndrome, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, POTS, scleroderma, Giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, Crohn’s disease, paralysis of the lower limbs, vaccine-induced dementia, vaccine-induced multiple sclerosis, vaccine-induced encephalitis, and even type I and type II diabetes (presumably from antibodies against Islet Cells in the pancreas – a type of molecular mimicry), etc. And that may be the short list.

Anyway, MW may have been a well-meaning true believer in the propaganda that has put out endlessly ever since Ronald Reagan’s Republican administration proposed and then passed legislation that made it against the law (in 1986) to sue vaccine makers when their products killed or sickened babies and children. We physicians have been thoroughly indoctrinated with the unproven notion that all vaccines are safe and effective, but, in MW’s defense, she probably hasn’t practiced medicine in the 20 years since she turned to full-time journalism.

And I would bet money that MW has never been confronted by the distressed parents of a permanently neurologically disabled child whose development dramatically changed right after a batch of intramuscular inoculations that had the neurotoxic substances aluminum, mercury and/or live viruses in them.

In the interest of good investigative journalism, which should involve thorough research and reporting on all sides of serious issues like the multitude of disorders mentioned above, I implore you to lobby your editors (and their media paymasters) to allow you to do extensive interviews with Barbara Loe, Dr. Suzanne Humphries, Neil Z. Miller, Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, Dr. Yehuda Shoenfeld, Dr. R K Gherardi, Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, Dr. Russell Blaylock, Dr. Lucija Tomljenovic, Dr. Chris Shaw and any number of other expert scientists and then write about the really important “other side of the story,” which will be about what is actually a totally preventable, iatrogenic set of vaccine-induced disorders.

PS: The most important website to consult, if you are willing to be totally disabused of what the sociopathic vaccine industry wants you to believe about the efficacy of their vaccine promotion programs, is at http://www.vaccineriskawareness.com/Diseases-In-The-Vaccinated.

There you will find the documentation of a huge number of viral disease clusters that occurred among people who were fully vaccinated against those very diseases. Particularly impressive were the cases of measles (or “measles-like”) mini-epidemics among the fully vaccinated. Likewise for every other childhood illnesses for which there are vaccines. Note that it often appears that the unvaccinated are more immune to these mini-outbreaks than are the vaccinated!

Addendum:
In support of the known neurotoxicity of intramuscularly injected aluminum, I urge everybody, especially health journalists to study the following information that I gleaned from the Age of Aluminum video, which is found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9k6p3Zem9G0

The lecture, entitled “Aluminum as a Neurotoxin” was presented at the 8th International Congress of Autoimminity (2012).

Items 1 – 8 on the following list were taken from a PowerPoint slide that came from a published article written by Dr. Tomljevonic in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease (2011)

1) Impairs memory, cognition and psychomotor control

2) Impairs neurotransmission and synaptic activity

3) Is a Blood Brain Barrier neurotoxin

4) Pro-oxidant

5) Activates microglia and brain inflammation

6) Impairs transcription

7) Promotes neurite damage

8) Promotes amyloidosis

9) Toxic to myelin sheath (therefore a risk factor for multiple sclerosis)

10) Competes with calcium

11) Poisons many metal-dependent enzyme systems

12) Depletes brain lipids

13) Readily binds to the dangerous neurotoxin fluoride and the combination is more easily absorbed into the blood stream

14) When combined with fluoride, damages small brain blood vessels

15) Aluminum absorption increases with vitamin C (citrate) and acid foods and juices.

Items 9 – 15 came from Russell Blaylock’s podcast on aluminum toxicity at:

Dr. Kohls is a retired physician from Duluth, MN, USA. In the decade prior to his retirement, he practiced what could best be described as “holistic (non-drug) and preventive mental health care”. Since his retirement, he has written a weekly column for the Duluth Reader, an alternative newsweekly magazine. His columns mostly deal with the dangers of American imperialism, friendly fascism, corporatism, militarism, racism, and the dangers of Big Pharma, psychiatric drugging, the over-vaccinating of children and other movements that threaten American democracy, civility, health and longevity and the future of the planet. Smut Clyde, Chris, Narad, Denise….let it ride, let the ad hominem fly. You have now heard from Dr. Kohl’s from Delueth MN who makes a reasonable, rationale & inquiring case for debate. Drum roll please; “he’s a quack,” “reminds me of Robin Williams,” or he’s “tin foil hat conspiracy theorist” might not fly.

Dr Kohl’s makes several relevant logical points and he solidly put himself in the inquiring, altruist non biased camp. What camp are you in? Will you open your minds? Or are you ensconced in your own dogma so deep that you can’t see the proverbial light thru the leaves in the trees.

Here is an idea: learn the definition of ad hominem. We did not discount him for what he is, but for his actions. Which is basically posting long screeds of pure nonsense.

Not exactly any kind of real research facility.

Oh, look! Kohl’s posted another long nonsensical screed! It includes this gem:

Barbara Loe, Dr. Suzanne Humphries, Neil Z. Miller, Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, Dr. Andrew Wakefield, Dr. Yehuda Shoenfeld, Dr. R K Gherardi, Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, Dr. Russell Blaylock, Dr. Lucija Tomljenovic, Dr. Chris Shaw

Do yourself a favor, William… take each of those names and put them in the Search box that can be accessed by clicking on the menu at the upper left corner of this page. Except for one, he did not include the full name Barbara Loe Fisher.

Then provide a reasonable response by providing the PubMed indexed study by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine the present American pediatric schedule causes more harm than the disease. Just a note: none of the folks listed in the above blockquote are reputable qualified researchers.

I’m sorry, William, but I didn’t find Dr Kohls’ second tract any more convincing than his first.it might help if he would just talk directly to the readers and author of this blog instead of copying his attempt to get journalists to give more coverage to his list of antivax all stars.

And when he asserts that the AAAS, which is an American organization whose journal Science is highly regarded but not even principally a medical journal, is somehow blocking the publication of research around the world that would prove the harms of vaccinations; he undercuts his own credibility.

The increase in type I diabetes is a problem and vaccines may have a role in that they help (along with insulin and other medical advances) children with the gene for type 1 diabetes live longer so they can have children who carry on the gene.

http://drc.bmj.com/content/4/1/e000161

And I do not support letting children die of measles, diphtheria, etc. to avoid diabetes.

Researchers around the world have found a few problems with vaccines, but they do not include the array of effects Kohl’s warns about. Nor have they blocked the publication of research by Shaw, Shoenfeld and others.

It’s certainly not the fault of the AAAS that these people can’t do better research.

Y’all are missing out on some mighty fine lunatic ravings. Following the links Dr Kohls provided to the Duluth Reader website, you find a multitude of ravings, containing the following gems by the “good” doctor –

I also have been energized to find out the truth about what institutional or individual conspirators were behind the obvious, censored-out plans to assassinate JFK, MLK, RFK and the many false flag operations (which by definition are conspiracies) that, for example, justified the bombing of North Vietnam (Gulf of Tonkin incident) and the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq (the controlled demolitions of 9/11/01). Being treated with disdain by elites who have a lot to lose (and their paid trolls), is why 9/11 Truth-seekers are such committed investigators.

The examples of false flag operations from history are legion (google “The Ever-Growing List of ADMITTED False Flag Attacks” for scores of examples of mainly US military or intelligence service false flag ops).
Over the 50 years since the Kennedy assassination (which could be rightfully be considered a coup d’etat) many honorable, patriotic and independent investigators have uncovered a plethora of documented truths that have cast doubt or directly contradicted the “no conspiracy” conclusions about the “lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald” or the “lone gunman James Earl Ray” (MLK’s falsely accused killer), the “lone gunman Sirhan Sirhan” (one of RFK’s assassins) or, for that matter, James Holmes (the ‘Batman shooter’ of Aurora, CO who undoubtedly did not act alone) or Stephen Paddock (the ‘Las Vegas shooter’ who looks like he was just a patsy rather than being one of several shooters).

Roundly hated and very misunderstood school shooters like Charles Whitman (the Austin, TX “Clock Tower Sniper”), Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold (of Columbine infamy), Jeff Weise (of Red Lake infamy), Seung-Hui Cho (of Virginia Tech infamy), James Holmes (the “Batman shooter”), and 90% of the multitude of other American school shooters over the past decades were act6ually a group of over-diagnosed, over-treated, psychiatric drug-intoxicated, brain-disabled, revenge-seeking, self-control disabling, gun-wielding, mass murdering, outcast/loner young white males who shot at crowds of innocent fellow students after making impressively bizarre plans to do so.

So Holmes was part of a false flag conspiracy, and he did it because he was on psych drugs??

“Tragically, the insiders that perpetrated the sudden explosive, pulverizing destruction of the three WTC towers on 9/11 (destructions that had nothing to do with planes or fires) are still in positions of power and seem to still be in charge of official propaganda and public relations in Washington DC. And so every September 11 we hear the endless repetition of the obvious lies that the Cheney/Bush White House started telling over and over again ever since 9/12/01. “That propaganda machine depends totally on the complicity of the corporate- and government-controlled mainstream press that can be counted on to obediently repeat the one of the biggest of history’s Big Lies. And of course they are obliged to refer to what happened on 9/11/91 as “the attacks on 9/11” rather than “the controlled demolitions on 9/11”, because the phrase “controlled demolitions” might raise some questions, even with those who haven’t been paying attention.

The messed up quote marks are in the original, and the least of the ‘sins’.

One of the most concise summaries concerning the secretive, experimental operations that are being conducted in the earth’s atmosphere (in order to modify the weather) by America’s military-industrial complex and our nation’s allies around the world, can be found at (YouTube link removed). It is a 15 minute youtube video produced by Dane Wigington of GeoEngineeringWatch. Our duty as citizens is to be well-informed about serious threats to our nation and the planet, even if the powers-that-be wish us not to be. There are many emperors without clothes out there – especially in arenas of power and wealth – that need their comeuppance.

Wigington has been courageously trying to expose the evils of the secret, unacknowledged operation that is spraying aerosolized substances from military jets for decades now. (The spray contains mostly nanoparticulate metals, including the known neurotoxins aluminum, barium and strontium.) Wigington also offers one of the best weekly commentaries on the survivability of the planet and its creatures. His very informative website is at http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org, and his last weekly analysis is at (YouTube link removed).

Perhaps the most concerning reality for me is the fact that the fluoride compounds that are added to municipal water supplies are totally unlike the sodium fluoride (which does in fact have a very narrow therapeutic range of safety) that was found in some water supplies back in the 1940s.

The fluoride used by communities are actually hazardous chemical waste products that used to be a burden to the company that generated them, but they are now sold – very profitably – to municipalities (by legislative mandate in Minnesota), turning an economic liability into a profit center for the phosphate fertilizer and aluminum industries. The “fluoride” powder dumped into the water is actually a mix of sodium silicofluoride compounds, primarily hydrofluosilicic acid that can, in its concentrated form, actually etch glass – as can the highly corrosive acid, hydrofluoric acid, known for its amazing ability to rapidly dissolve many metals and glass. Sodium silicofluoride compounds have NEVER been tested for safety in any human study!

Yeah, I noticed there is not a conspiracy theory that Kohls has not embraced. His writing on various websites is just so “special.”

You have now heard from Dr. Kohl’s

Are you the one copy-pasting his drivel and signing it?

According to The Indian Journal of Medicine & Ethics Bill Gates was personally responsible for paralyzing 47,500 children with polio vaccine in 2011 and yet his personal physician from Seattle spoke recently at a symposium were he stated; that Bill Gates was adamant that his own young children not be vaccinated. That corresponds with studies out of LA but more specifically the broader Beverly Hills area that the least likely to vaccinate their own children are wealthy upper class whites families. How odd that the wealthy proselytize the masses even as they pass laws mandating children get vaccinated under penalty of fine or jail(CA) with justifications of unproven “herd immunization” for the middle/lower classes in America & third world but not for their own children.

And sites like this do verbal gymnastics, practice monastic cognitive dissonance, delight in ad hominem ad nauseum and revel in their own genius inspite massive inequity, suffering and ever increasing rates of autism especially in the west. I believe autism rates in the US rose 30% alone between 2014-16 from 1 in 88 to 1 in 68(1 in 42 for boys, 1 in 189 for girls). I guess these ever increasing numbers will perpetually be accounted for by genetics, the environment and better record keeping for the foreseeable future at least on this inculcated self indulgent blog.

Aluminum is good for you. Don’t be alarmed by outrageous increases in autism, Parkinson’s & Alzheimer’s we are exceptionally educated doctors we know what’s best for you. GMO’s, 5G, petrochemical fertilizers, artificial sweeteners & vaccinations are all good for you. When you get cancer we will irradiate your body and 1/2 of you will make it. Don’t worry we are doctors certified by the AMA and underwritten by big pharma, we know what we’re doing.

For the rest of your argument, citations are seriously needed.

The “Indian Journal of Medicine & Ethics” bit has to be due to Puliyel. William V Webber S does seem to be rather slovenly in his intellectual endeavors.

And acute flaccid paralysis is a symptom that is used to identify people to test for polio as part of the eradication effort.

It can be caused by many things, not just polio.

/www.livemint.com/Politics/XS6vPor5jFX3vKkaE7Ri6H/India-to-get-poliofree-status-amid-rise-in-acute-flaccid-pa.html%3ffacet=amp&utm_source=googleamp&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=googleamp

Bill Gates’ kids are adults/ teenagers. Two of them were born before the Gates Foundation was even created. So that’s questionable right there. There there are a few more inconsistencies. 1) Why would Bill’s doctor have anything to do with treating his children? Wouldn’t that be their pediatrician? 2) Isn’t it a violation of professional ethics for this doctor to discuss a patient’s medical decisions with the public?

You are not making a compelling case for yourself.

yet [Gates’] personal physician from Seattle spoke recently at a symposium were he stated; that Bill Gates was adamant that his own young children not be vaccinated

William Weber heard from someone who read somewhere that there was a symposium somewhere and some time where someone claimed that Bill Gates had told him that he was against vaccination.
Sounds legit!

Smut Clyde….this is laughable! Thou dost protest too much. Anyone who comes here MD, doctorate student, journalist, scientist or parent of autistic child is demonized, castigated or laughed at. You guys put the Salem Witch trials to shame and are consumed with your own dogma. Likely many of you are paid schills, indoctrinated or both.

The CDC whistleblower who came out on social media to tell the world that the latest Flu Vaccine was causing deaths and the worst Flu season in recent memory who mysteriously vanished. Well not only has he gone missing but now just like you rubes….the CDC is saying he’s not a whistleblower at all but indeed a conspiracy theorist, go figure.

You remind me of the Vatican when confronted with Copernicus’s theory that earth was indeed round. Your believing in your own dogma at the expense of subjective reality rivals the great religious zealots of the dark ages and only codifies for me how absolutely pointless, vacuous and morally bankrupt this site is.

And by the way…the source you sited is no more a source than this site. A blog set up to run disinfo and defend big pharma at all costs so as to infect as many people as possible. Oh I love the “heartfelt” line at the end; “we sure hope Dr Cunningham shows up.” I gotta say this site and that site are filled not only ardent defenders of the status quo at all costs but despicable human beings, human refuse. There are screen shots on social media if you care to look and quotes from his immediate family.

Ah, missed this gem:

You remind me of the Vatican when confronted with Copernicus’s theory that earth was indeed round.

Cool story, bro.

“Anyone who comes here MD, doctorate student, journalist, scientist or parent of autistic child who is a quack or proclaims known antivaxx lies is demonized castigated or laughed at.”
FTFY.

You remind me of the Vatican when confronted with Copernicus’s theory that earth was indeed round.

This piece of inspired stupignorance surpasses my ability to ridicule it. It is as if the Dunning-Kruger Effect attained sentience, and started commenting as “William”.

The CDC whistleblower who came out on social media to tell the world that the latest Flu Vaccine was causing deaths and the worst Flu season in recent memory who mysteriously vanished. Well not only has he gone missing

In fact he has been disappeared so thoroughly that William can’t even remember his name.

Then why does the CDC call him a conspiracy theorist??? Also Nancy makes a great point which no one has responded to which is; why would Eli Lilly add a SECRET rider to the Homeland Security Bill in 2002 absolving themselves from all future liability resulting from the use mercury in vaccines; thimersol(sic). By the way you responded so quickly…you are certainly more likely a paid schill & dis info agent defending big pharma at all costs than a concerned citizen trying find the truth. In fact I imagine your religion precludes you from telling the truth. Can you tell what’s it’s like to sell your soul? How much money does it take?

How much money does it take?

I, for one, would entertain offers involving Malort.

Please learn to either use the reply option or quote the person to whom you’re replying. Sorting through shards of gibberish bombs is tedious enough.

^ I mean, there’s more where that came from. Is it still 140 milliseconds to complete the transaction? I’m too tired to look it up.

…why would Eli Lilly add a SECRET rider to the Homeland Security Bill in 2002 absolving themselves from all future liability resulting from the use mercury in vaccines; thimersol(sic).

Proof, or GTFO.

What kind proof do you require? Would you like a hand signed document from the Eli “Lilly Rider” sponsor House Majority Leader Dick Armey of TX? He put in the legislation late at night unbeknownst to most who signed at the behest of the Bush administration..However more specifically why the need for protection from potential lawsuits of a non existent, as you say “fabricated” connection between thimersal and autism? I’m just a very simple man asking a very simple question of the exceedingly pedantic often malevolent & sarcastic narcissists here on respectful-insolenc, of which I’m sure you have an exceedingly logical explanation. Other than GTFO or LTFOL, no?

No extra special protection….your joking correct all litigation capped at $250,000? You pond scum never change your M.O. It doesn’t matter if it’s a CDC whistle blower, a PhD, a virologist, an FDA whistler blower or parent of a dead child your answers are always consistently mind numbingly dubious at best deceitful at worst. As if your modus operendi was in the constant deference to your corporate blood sucking master’s. If one were a conspiracy theorists one might think there was an agenda afoot to destroy humanity. That could only happen if a particular sub strata of people saw other people as mere cattle or sub human. Which group of parasites on this planet refer to other people as chattel? I’ll have do some research on that. In 1985 parents were responsible to pay $80 for vaccinations out of pocket for their children however with great advancements in cutting edge medicines now out of pocket the cost is $2200 and yet children are more sick now than then. In 1985; 1 in 200 children had autism now its 1 in 68, for black children than number is even higher and for substantially more vaccinationated military families that number is still yet higher at 1 in 28. And yet you AssClowns here have a dedicated site to defending vaccinations as 100% safe & effective. The cognitive dissonance is so thick that it verges on the religious with squirrelelite, Narad & Julian Frost practicing such monastic denial & deflection that you put Kabbalist Rabbinic scholars to shame.

Only deaths and pain and suffering are capped. I agree those caps shouldn’t be raised, but there’s no cap on economic damages, and it’s not harm to people to provide a no fault program where fees and costs are covered and causation requirements more lax.

The fact that there are more autism diagnoses than in the past doesn’t mean vaccines cause autism – studies show they don’t, and much of the rise in diagnoses is due to changes in practices and criteria.

Nobody argues vaccines are 100% safe. Evidence shows, however, that serious harms from them are rare and their risk/benefits ratio excellent.

“In 1985; 1 in 200 children had autism…”

Diagnosed with what version of the DSM? In 1991 a neurologist told me my nonverbal three year old was definitely not autistic because he smiled and laughed. Unfortunately the laughter was often inappropriate. A bit over twenty years he was diagnosed with autism. Same kid… what changed?

For the record, in early 1990 he suffered from a now vaccine preventable disease and had seizures. Please post the PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule cause more seizures than the diseases.

He also got chicken pox a year before the varicella vaccine was available. So did the six month old baby. Have you ever cared for a baby covered in dozens of painful itchy open sores? Personally I do not think nice thoughts about those who think children should go through that torture. Why do you think they should suffer from that kind of fever and pain?

“for black children than number is even higher and for substantially more vaccinationated military families that number is still yet higher at 1 in 28.”

Citation needed. Please make sure to only post PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers that are not on the Dwoskin payroll. I was an Army brat who was very well vaccinated, so I am curious about that latter research. Typically TriCare denies therapy for neurodevelopmental disabilities, unless things have changed in the last few years (perhaps due to the ACA).

By the way, why do you think argument by blatant assertion and insults is a valid substitute for rational discussion with verifiable evidence? Anyway, here is some real science:
https://sparkforautism.org/discover/

1 in 200 children had autism now its 1 in 68, for black children than number is even higher and for substantially more vaccinationated military families that number is still yet higher at 1 in 28.

Citation needed that the rate of autism for children in military families is 1 in 28.
